The Struggles Continue

Written by MillHan at 00:31 27/8-2010

Team MillHan was on an excellent rise. They climbed inside the top 440 in the overall rankings and inside the top 20 in the USA rankings. They racked up wins and top finishes along the way. Then they hit the wall. The wall for Team MillHan was Division 6. Once into Division 6 they were met with a limited amount of races that fit their style of riding. They rode hard but were unable to perform well. With their poor finishes they dropped in the rankings and are now back in Division 7.
Cong Yutao had this to say, "We are up against some of the best riders in the world. We weren't ready for the jump I guess. We have been riding hard but it seems like we aren't tackling the races the way we are able to."
Richard Pinson, Team MillHan's oldest rider had this to say when he was interviewed. "The team is pretty bummed out. We are used to riding hard and getting rewarded for it. The younger guys aren't taking it very well. We will get our energy back and the team will make a great recovery."
Carlton Speers who has been training hard had this to say. "Yeah I have been working hard on my time trialing lately. I know we are a team of climbers, but I feel like I could improve my skills and possibly win a race or get some good results. Races are won by good team riding and skills of an individual."
Team Manager Deac Mill had a few comments of his own. "We are a great team. The guys have been riding hard, our results just don't show it. Yeah we've been dropped back to Division 7, so what. We will be moving in the right direction before you know it. The older guys have the experience to settle the younger down and get their heads on straight. We will be fine. Our guys will be riding hard and will be on the podiums like usual."

That's exactly what my team has been doing (in fact we're tied with 190 points). The plus side is if we stay in D7 long enough at least we're guaranteed to earn some money in races :)
